Dr. McMullen is Board Certified by the American College of Surgeons and has been in private practice in Oklahoma City since 1991. He is a general & vascular surgeon, and in 1995, was one of the founding partners of the Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma, the leading specialty surgical hospital in South Oklahoma City. Dr. McMullen is currently both Chief of Staff and Medical Director of the Surgical Hospital.
Dr. McMullen also has a special interest in treating varicose vein problems, which led to the opening of the Varicose Vein Clinics of Oklahoma in 2002. These two centers specialize in state of the art technology and techniques to solve even the most difficult varicose vein problems, performed in-office, with local anesthesia and virtually no down time for the patient. Dr. McMullen lectures on varicose vein problems and their treatment all over the country, and the Oklahoma Clinics have become a regional referral center for the most difficult vein cases.
