The Vein Clinic was established in May 2002 by Dr. McMullen, Board Certified General and Vascular Surgeon. At inception in 2002, Dr. McMullen’s two vein clinics were the only surgeon-directed centers in the state of Oklahoma dedicated to treating all aspects of venous disease. Even today, although other physicians are advertising vein care in Oklahoma, only Dr. McMullen is an expert in every modality for the most advanced vein care available anywhere. Dr. McMullen provides a FREE initial consultation to evaluate your specific venous problems, using this information to formulate a comprehensive treatment plan for your individual case. The clinic has on-site Ultrasound, and exams may be done when indicated for further evaluation. Dr. McMullen is an expert in every advanced treatment available today, including:   Endoluminal LASER Ablation (ELAS) Radiofrequency CLOSURE for large vessel disease Ambulatory Phlebectomy (removal of veins through microsurgical incisions) Ligations (tying off veins & branch vessels) Trivex procedure (which is done in an outpatient setting under general anesthesia.) The Varicose Vein Clinics also provide a complete sclerotherapy program for small and medium -size varicose veins and spider complexes, using the latest advances in foam sclerotherapy and "double injury" which combines both laser and sclerotherapy for faster clearance of the offending veins.
